2017 Belize Cuisine Festival

The Belize Cuisine Festival will be hold from July 27 to August 13, 2017 in “Café at Far Eastern” of Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei. The Embassy of Belize will invite Jennie Staines, the chief of Belize’s local famous restaurant, Elvi's Kitchen, to Taiwan to demonstrate her culinary skills. The Chief will apply local Central American ingredients to several Belize cuisines through her creativity and ingenuity, and present a range of exotic cuisines full of Maya flavor.

In addition to the rare Belize cuisine, “Café at Far Eastern” will also play Belize music and display local traditional arts and crafts in the restaurant during the Belize Cuisine Festival. Waiters and waitress will wear the traditional Belize costumes. With such elaborate arrangement, guests will enjoy the authentic Belize cuisines in the Caribbean atmosphere.
