Central America and the Caribbean, that possesses a combination of ancient Mayan civilization sites that mesmerize the world and the unspoiled landscape of natural forests and blue Caribbean Sea, has long been deemed as a mysterious region that traveling explorers desire to challenge, while, tourists in general can't wait to unveil its beauty! With today's convenient air transport, as well as visa-free access preferential treatment enjoyed by States with diplomatic relations, Taiwan tourists have easy access to this region of Central America, crossed between ancient culture and modern civilization. And once there, they can take a peek at the paradise, which is away from all the hustle and bustle, and filled with colorful ancient Mayan civilization artifacts and relics.  In order to share the beauty of Central America's humanities and culture with Taiwanese people, and to assist with the import of Spanish-language books to the Taiwan market, while developing the international publishing relationship between the two regions, CATO will participate in the 2018 Taipei International Book Exhibition. In addition, a collection of hardcover travel books from Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, as well as series of Central American literary books in their original language, which are not often seen in Taiwan, will also be on display at the booth. Furthermore, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, Mr. José Miguel Soto Jiménez, will have his first speaking presence at the international forum, sharing his insight on this remarkable multi-national literary trend and its creation.
