2016 Taipei Tourism Expo-Central America Pavilion

2016-04-19

The 2016 Taipei Tourism Expo will be held in the Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center on May 20 through May 23. The Central America Trade Office (CATO) and the embassies of Central America are participating in this largest ever travel exhibition event this summer for the first time, where a Central America Pavilion will be launched to help create a Central American tourism carnival, offering a fresh and fun experience of Central America for the public in Taiwan.

This year, tourism representatives of various countries and tour operators in Taiwan are invited to share the booth at the Central American Pavilion, and to make recommendations on the most beautiful local sites that are worthy of visiting, including: a tour of Mayan Culture—the mysterious Mayan ruins that cover four countries in Central America; a journey of volcanoes and natural ecosystems—virgin tropical rainforests and volcanoes, and the rich and diverse birds and plant ecology—an incredible LOHAS heaven; a tour of coffee farms—visit the century-old coffee farms and taste high quality, aromatic coffee; and a journey to the Caribbean—enjoy the island lifestyle and diving adventures—it is the top-choice honeymoon and vacation destination for Europeans and Americans.

In addition to organizing the "2016 Central America and El Salvador Travel Industry Briefings" in northern/central/southern Taiwan before the expo, CATO is also providing free travel information concerning the seven nations of Central America throughout the four-day event. The tour operators at the booth will offer the latest information on group tours and for individual travel; meanwhile, there are regular daily travel-quiz games on Central America, and gifts give-away with Facebook sharing. This year, CATO is coordinating again with Yahoo! Travel Channel, organizing an online event, "How to travel in Central America. Individual Travel vs Group Travel": visit the event web page and select your favorite method to travel in Central America, and share it on your Facebook page, then you will have the chance to win gifts relating to Central America!

To facilitate a true travel experience and to impart knowledge about the beauty of Central America to people who are interested in traveling in Central America, CATO invited the renown travel expert, Danny Wen, to share the brand new experience of his journey and the amazingly beautiful sceneries of various countries in Central America at the "Travel Talk on Touring in Central America and the Caribbeans", which is to be held in conference Room 102 of the Taipei International Convention Center, from 18:30-21:30 on the evening of May 21 (Saturday).
